All Seniors are Safe during COVID-19

Madhur Bhav senior living home and care center is an example of keeping all the seniors safe during Pandemic. When we saw the news about the pandemic reaching Pune with one couple visited Dubai and spread to nearby society. When Our Prime minister declares Janta Curphew and also followed 21 days lockdown. Our system started proactively taking care of seniors. First and foremost things which we followed by stopping visitors from 10th March 2020.  I did not panic about the situation and followed the time to time guidelines issued by the Ministry of health and welfare for taking care. Our staff was instructed to be residential and cut down of the staff which was not directly working with seniors. so the level of infection curtail during the lockdown, we send the circulars to relatives about not visiting Madhur bhav to meet with them and also arrange for video conference for the timing was specified. Our nursing staff checked all the

patients every day. With caution for cough, fever, sneeze, and those we suspected did the x-ray testing for them. As preventive care we started with the administration of vit C tablets, milk was served earlier in the night but now added curcumin. We gave bronchodilators to all the residents.  

Maintained social distancing for all seniors, we discontinued newspapers and TV to reduce the panic against the virus. Media has created panic against the virus so much as the last three months there is no news other than Corona. 

To maintain healthy and fearless the atmosphere we maintained their routine of exercise and social activities (in the house), My inspiration and dedication by the team also supported well and gave incentives to manage the staff during COVID-19.


Pandemic. We had a few falls and surgery during COVID-19 and did manage very well. Our efforts were to provide the utmost care and follow the rules. We had

“लक्ष्मण रेषा ” no senior was allowed to go out. And had a saloon at home only. Our

cooking is an Nere facility for both locations and we managed the residents with traditional therapies like steam, saltwater gargling, vit C, cough syrup, Arsenic Album.etc 

Washing of vegetables, grocery, cleaning, hosukeppeing was so perfect. There was very little chance of getting infected. We isolated our senior whom we found coughing and fever. Overall extra efforts are taken to keep all the seniors safe and had a meeting with all the residents and staff every week to see the situation and act accordingly. Now with more testing available, we are taking urgently R T PCR done. In fact, during COVID-19 Pandemic we gave few admission on Sumatran ground since they had nobody to take care of them. We had two deaths and that’s was not because of the corona. It was heart attaché and renal failure. Ultimately its GOD’s Grace and my father’s blessing. We had kept all seniors safe,  

MadhurBhav is named after my parents “Shri Madhukar Bhave and Mrs. Madhuri Bhave. As the name suggests sweet felling for compassion care.

It was my regular evening round at Madhur Bhav- meeting Ageing with Joy all  seniors, talking to them about life always gives you an insight of new things. It's each time a learning experience. One of my supervisor told me that a new couple has come and they have some issues with the staff, so much that they constantly complain about the facilities, food, services. I decided to visit them. Both of them were highly educated. The Ajoba  was  High rank officer and his wife was running  trust  for under privileged children . Life Journey till now and battle continues.....

माझा वाढदिवस  विशेष मी आज्जी झाले . आणि देवाने दोन सुंदर नातवंडे दिली  प्रत्येक माणसाचे जीवन मध्ये उतार चढाव असतात तसे माझे आयुष्य पण सरळ मार्गी होते इंदूर हुन येऊन पुणे इथे शिक्षण पूर्ण केले . शिक्षण होत असताना लग्न झाले आणि मग नौकरी आणि करिअर या कडे लक्ष दिले आणि मग १९९० साली हर्षद चा जन्म झाला आणि दिवस मजेत होते आणि त्याची शाळा , अभ्यास आणि मार्क या पलीकडे त्याला  स्विमिन्ग , बॅडमिंटन , फॅन्सी ड्रेस , गाणे , पिकनिक , त्या मध्ये आज्जी आणि आजोबा चे पुणे येथे आगमन .अशी तारे वरची कसरत चालू होती . मग आयुष्य मध्ये एक कलाटणी झाली . २३ वर्ष चे लग्न  मोडले म दभेद वाढले आणि त्याचे रूपांतर वेगेळे होणे झाले . माझा मुलगा हर्षद माझा बरोबर होता त्या मुले सुसह झाले . माझा भावा ने कंपनी चा कारभार सांभाळायला सांगितले नि एक प्रकार प्रेरणा मिळाली  आणि तिचं  रूपांतर पुढे जाऊन स्वतः चे एक स्वतत्र अस्तिव निर्माण केले आणि  मुलाचे लग्न झाले आणि आज आमची फॅमिली खूप मोठी आहे मधुभाव चा निमित्ताने मला खूप आज्जी आणि आजोबांचे आशीर्वाद लाभले . काम करताना जीव भावाचे साथीदार मिळाले ....

 Happiness with  Madhur Bhav I sometimes feel, this whole, “Practicality” issue, about this young generation, does even exist or are we just judging them on certain parameters and abiding them by it?
